This outfit is perfect for NYC summer. It's around 85-100 degrees here all the time so wearing floaty clothes is perfect. Yesterday my outfit was similar to this. I didn't take any shots though but you get the idea by looking this photo.
What do you think of the look?

Lovely post title! You sound so intellectual quoting Mark Twain! Also, congrats on the new tattoo, and love this outfit although I think that in the NYC heat, I would still be sweltering with this long black skirt on!

I agree even with the humidity there's something very cool (literally) about a flowing skirt that doesn't really restrict movement.
